1,4-Cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM)
DESCRIPTION
1,4-CHDM is cycloaliphatic glycol (diol), with boiling point at 162 °C. It is delivered as a solid in drums. It consist of a mixture of cis and trans isomer and is produced from DMT (dimethyl terephtalate).

MAJOR APPLICATIONS
CHDM is used as feedstock for copolyester plastics, fibers/filaments especially polyethylene terephtalate. As a dialcolhol is also utilized in production of synthethic resins.
