2-Hydroxypropyl Acrylate (2-HPA)
DESCRIPTION
2-HPA – is a clear, colorless liquid with a slight acrylic odor. It is readily miscible with water and most organic solvents. HPA is an ester of Acrylic acid and is used as a raw material component in the synthesis of polymers. It is a monofunctional acrylate monomer with a characteristic high reactivity of methacrylates and a branched hydrophobic moiety.

MAJOR APPLICATIONS
HPA is extensively used in the production of acrylic polyols for use in industrial and automotive coatings, especially OEM and refish auto clearcoats. HPA is a major component in the production of UV curable urethane acrylate oligomers.
