MAJOR APPLICATIONS
One of the key raw-materials for production of Unsaturated Polyester resins (UPR), which is also one of the main applications for MAN. More than 50% of MA global production is used to manufacture unsaturated polyester resins (UPR). These products also include gel coats, Alkyd resins, coating resins. Addition of small quantities of maleic anhydride is thought that improves the colour, increases the reaction speed and solidifies the paint.
