Zinc Stearate
DESCRIPTION
Ca-stearate is the zinc salt of stearic acid, so called zinc soap. It is a waxy white powder.
Stearic acid to produce stearates can be of vegetable or animal origin. Our product has only vegetable source.

Plastics
Polyolefins (PE, PP, PIB, etc.), polystyrene in the first place + other plastics
Function of Zn-stearat in plastics: lubricant, release agent and acid scavenger
Rubber / generally elastomers
Function of Ca-stearate in rubber: processing aid, mastication agent, release agent
Building chemistry
Cement/gypsum based products (plasters, wall paints, etc.).
Function: water repellent / obtaining water-proofing
Liquid coatings
Since Zn-stearate is transparent it is used in LC. It is a levelling agent and thickener in the same time imparting hydrophobic properties
Life Science
Water repellent and lubricant. Active product against skin diseases.
