DESCRIPTION

Propylene carbonate (often abbreviated PC) is an organic compound with the formula C4H6O3. It is a cyclic carbonate ester derived from propylene glycol. This colourless and odourless liquid is useful as a polar, aprotic solvent. Propylene carbonate is chiral, but is used exclusively as the racemic mixture in most contexts.

DESCRIPTION

PVB is a resin. Our Mowital grades are named using a self explaining nomenclature. The trade-name Mowital is followed by a capital B stating the aldehyde used. In this case the products are based on butyraldehyde. The numbers refer to the degree of poly-merization, the higher the number the higher the degree of polymerization (vis-cosity). The suffixes T, M, H, S and HH indicate the degree of acetalization, T being the lowest and HH being the highest.

DESCRIPTION

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVOH, PVA, or PVAl) is a water-soluble synthetic polymer. It has the idealized formula [CH2CH(OH)]n. It is used in papermaking, textile warp sizing, as a thickener and emulsion stabilizer in PVAc adhesive formulations and a variety of coatings. It is colourless (white) and odorless. It is commonly supplied as beads or as solutions in water

Hardeners & Additives

DESCRIPTION

Generally silanes are silicone compound monomers. With at least one SI-C bond we get organosilanes. Further, organofunctional silanes in addition contain 2 reactive (functional) groups. Within these there are the organofunctional trialkoxysilanes. This is the silane group we have in programme. Important feature of trialkoxysilanes is that the 2 reactive groups can react and couple on inorganic materials (glass, ceramic, metal) and to organic resins.

Polymers

DESCRIPTION

Polycaprolactone (PCL) polymer is a high molecular weight thermoplastic linear polyester polymer derived from Epsilon-caprolactone monomer. Appears in white pellets. PCL polymer is biodegradable and compostable, an important feature in many present and future applications.

PRODUCT GROUP

Resins & Binders

DESCRIPTION

Hydrocarbon resins are amorphous thermoplastic polymers produced by polymerization of unsaturated hydrocarbons. These resins have typically low molecular weights ranging from about 400 to 5000 g/mol. The three main types are C5 aliphatic, C9 aromatic, and hydrogenated C5/C9 resins. Main function of HCR is the tackifying effect. Further other physico-chemical properties can be favourably impacted.
