Aromatic isocyanate that consists of a mix of isomers, 4,4′- 2,4′- and 2,2′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate. It is commonly known as crude or polymeric MDI. The isomer 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate is known as Pure or Monomeric MDI. In addition to these two grades, modified and condensated MDI grades are also available.

Polyester polyols are together with polyether polyols one of the 2 main raw materials used in the production of polyurethanes by reacting with an isocyanate. Polyester polyols can chemically be divided into 2 groups: aromatic and aliphatic polyester polyols. All polyester polyols are liquid and available in numerous different grades.

TDI is an aromatic isocyanate that reacts with polyols to produce PU foam. It is a clear to light yellow liquid, soluble in organic solvents and commercialized as a mixture of the 2,4 and 2,6 isomers.

Polycaprolactone polyols are specialty polyester polyols that act as the soft segment component in a PU formulation. Due to enhanced flexibility and better mechanical properties, polycaprolactone polyols are used in applications that require high mechanical performance.

Diethyl toluene diamine (DETDA) is a an aromatic diamine making and is liquid at room temperature.

It is a low toxicity diamine that is mixture of 3,5-dimethylthio-2,4-toluenediamine; 3,5-dimethylthio-2,6-toluenediamine. It is widely used as replacement of the more toxic MOCA.

BDMA is an amine catalyst that consists of a benzyl group attached to a dimethylamino group.

DMCHA is a tertiary amine, liquid at room temperature. It is manufactured either by the reaction of methyl chloride or formaldehyde and hydrogen with cyclohexylamine.

Silicone surfactants (surface-active materials) are essential and therefore used in the production of all kinds of PU foam. They lower surface tension, emulsify incompatible formulation ingredients, promote nucleation of bubbles during mixing, stabilize the rising foam by reducing stress concentrations in thinning cell-walls and counteract the defoaming effect of any solids added to or formed (e.g. precipitated polyurea structures, during conventional flexible foam reaction).

Polyether polyols are organic compounds that contain more than two hydroxyl groups in their molecular chain. Polyols are one the main raw materials used for the production of polyurethane products, along with isocyanates. Within polyols, polyether polyols are the most widely type in use.
